Frequency in MegaHertz = 300/Wavelength (meters)
So you want Wavelength(meters)=300/F(MHz)
433MHz=6.8 inches This is the wavelength converted to inches divided by 4. usually you use a 1/4 wavelength antenna for things like this.
These are aproximate but should work well enough. If you want to maximize it get a field strength meter, cut the antenna an inch or so long and trim until you get max signal strength. Transmit and recieve length is the same.
