I'm very new to this stuff so please bear with me.

I just made the BN9 "Super Sleuth" Audio Amplifier and was wondering how to add on the microphones and such. I soldered in a 3.5mm jack using some scraps from the resistors and it works for now, but I don't know what is the best material to use.

Also, it suggests adding the MC1 mic and that kit inludes a resister and capacitor, but I'm not sure how to add it to the BN9. It gives a schematic, but I'm not sure how to physically connect them without making a new board, plus I'm not sure how to conenct the potentiometer.

I believe I have all the parts (except maybe a new board) but I want to be able to make it work as a high-gain listening device where I can add my own mic in a 3.5mm jack if possible.

I bought this kit as a test, but now I'm having some good ideas that I want to pursue, but am unsure how due to my lack of knowledge.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
