With Cell phones needing to be more hands-free while driving, can you come up with a kit that would pick up your voice and rec.your telephone conversation in you car FM radio on any FM frequency.

Thank you,

I am assuming you are talking about a wireless interface that transmits the received audio from your cell phone to your car stereo. This would be very easy to make, but the dirt cheap imports with rather poor performance are far too easy to get now and they are pre-built in a custom package.

Even though our unit would function much better then those currently on the market, we could not design a kit that would cost less. Therefore we’ll have to pass on this one I think.

If you already own one of our transmitters and you want to have some fun, try this. Feed the speaker output from your cell phone into the audio input of the transmitter (FM10 or FM25) and clip you phone to the dashboard or the sun visor (so the mic pick-up is close). You can power the transmitter from the cigarette lighter jack and then set one of your pre-set radio channels on the frequency you are broadcasting on. Whalla, one “hands free” setup.

On another note about cell phones. I was wondering if it's possible to make a radio control device using a cell phone and the DCL1, DTMF controller interface. Does a cell phone have the same DTMF tones as a normal phone that is plugged into the wall? If it's possible I would use different numbers on the cell phone to control the relays. Each of the four relays would turn a direction of the 2 motors on or off.
