I am helping out my son on a school project.
He is trying to build a game board where the basic premise is that the game board has several holes of different number values.
Each player gets to throw 3 balls onto the board and as it falls into the holes the totals are tallied up. He wants to get this done up with an LED display and an automatic electronic counter. The way I figured this is that each hole has a pressure sensitive switch in side and as the balls fall in it triggers the switch...but the electronics to total this is way beyond me.....any help would be most appreciated. Thanks

Hope someone can help you out there! My wife is still trying to get me to dream up a circuit for a Jeopardy style system which could be used in schools as a fun learning aid for kids.

Here is an idea for Ramsey - come up with a multipurpose kit, using logic circuitry and solid state switching, so the builder could come use it for various games etc. Have a score counter as an optional modual. Imagine the fun of a school electronics club building it for their school! I suspect some of the students and teachers would be ordering ones for at home!

An electronic "bingo machine" could be a lot of fun too - no SMTs please, as it would be a lot of fun for a seniors club to build their own, stereotyping, I know, but so much fun!
