where would be the best place to tap a line level signal on my FM100 to send to a AM25 so we could broadcast on FM & AM simultaneously? i'm well aware that i could use a mixer and split the signal but i wish to use the mic input and mixer of the FM100.

why AM & FM? at our hot rod car meets, many cars have only AM and all the FM guys can't pick up AM without antennas. if we could pack just the FM100, AM25, a mic and CD player, this would be a nice simple set up for our events.

using only the whip antennas and FCC kosher wattage, would there be any problems working these two units close together?

thanks!

Another approach is to use a good FM radio to pick up the FM signal, then feed it into the AM25.

I would suggest keeping your AM and FM antennas a little apart - and by using the radio pick up approach, this is easy. Think of your FM transmitter as doubling as a STL for your AM. Oh, and when you upgrade to an AM Stereo transmitter, as many hobbyists will likely be doing in the near future, using a FM stereo receiver - such as a radio walkman - will give you a stereo feed for your AM Stereo transmitter.
