SM100 Installation Note:
Be sure (for the best performance) that your coax from the antenna is in good condition (if installing outside/not water damaged) and the sheild of the coax is grounded, so your lead in does NOT become a part of the antenna! (Standard F type ground block is recommended) Try to keep the remaining leads to and from the tunable amplifier (to the tuner or receiver) shieled as much as possible. The antenna seems to be the most effective pointed 90 degrees away from the signal of interest. DO NOT use the end of the antenna to point, point with the side of the antenna. Proved effective to eliminate tuner overload of a local 5kW am on the opposite end of the spectrum. Used to improve reception of an EAS primary monitor station 70 miles out of town!
