Hello, I'm very currious if the FMBA1C will also work as a Television VHF/UHF reciever antenna amplifier. Connecting it to an Old Style Outdoor Antenna.

Or, should my question be; Will the filters interfere with TV Broadcasts ? Would they possibly be helpfull ?

Thank You,
Rhett

The FMBA1C will not function for TV frequencies due to the filtering. The PR2 does work well for that purpose.

I have been using a PR2 to amplify my TV antennas signal for about four years. I am too cheap to pay for TV reception and haven’t for over 14 years. That’s right no cable, no satellite, and no other pay TV. If I can’t get it free with my antenna I don’t watch it. I live about 25 miles South of Rochester, New York and wanted to receive the local UPN low power TV station (had to get my Star Trek fix) so I purchased the PR2 and was amazed at the results. I now get two stations out of Toronto Canada that are usually good enough to watch. Between Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, and Toronto I get about 15 TV stations and all it costs is the few pennies a month to run the PR2.

Yeah, on the Star Trek fix!!! But with the nearest LPTV UPN being way too far away, I had to get Dish. But it's worth it! How 'bout that Archer?!!! Turning into a regular pirate there, isn't he?

Cool

Humma, PowerFM Reads, I'll be... LOL

I must agree with your Opinion of Micro-Broadcasting, yes limitations are in place for a reason. My intentions aren't too disseminate my opinions or anything other than being able to use my Micro Broadcaster for my Enjoyment, not impossing it on anyone. I live in a Aluminum Shelled Mobile Home, 4 PC's a runnin (RF Interferance has gotta be terrible), my Unit can't make-it less than 40 feet to an outdoor antenna (trying to make it to shop, generaly anywhere outside where I can drag Extension Cord. I live in the country (middle of a Cane Field), my broadcast will always be clean, and I will check on my TX distance after my Trial, even still I doubt anyone would be able to monitor it ??? Dunno , It's a Hobby and only trying will be my education... I definately will not get a report sent to the FCC about my activity. Distance checks will be done to confirm my challenge and interests.

Sheesh, a little Curtosy got me A LONG WAY, didn't it ........

PowerFM, Thank You
